Pop Up Tents: The Easiest Way to Enjoy the Outdoors

If you like the outdoors, have you tried camping with pop up tents? Camping is a great way to enjoy the outdoors. Making breakfast over the fire pit in the morning, hiking down beautiful nature trails in the afternoon, and roasting marshmallows over an open fire in the evening adds up to an unforgettable experience. Crawling into your sleeping bag at the end of the day and falling asleep to the sounds of wildlife all around you is one of the best parts of camping.

There are many ways to camp, from RVs to pop-up trailer campers to tents. Most people agree that bringing along a huge RV with electricity and running water hardly qualifies as "roughing it," but dislike the time and effort required to set up a traditional dome or cabin tent. Pop up tents are the perfect solution for any camper who feels that way.

A pop up tent makes a camping trip so much easier and more hassle-free. Setting up a traditional dome tent usually takes at least half an hour and requires the efforts of two people. However, pop up tents can be set up in a matter of 30 seconds. They are all one piece, meaning that there is no assembly required and no rods to mess with and slide into the tent. Most tents pop open automatically when removed from the bag, so all you need to do is take the bag to your desired campsite and pull out the tent. Then you're all set to enjoy hiking, biking, birdwatching, or whatever other parts of camping you enjoy—you don't need to spend the first hour of your trip setting up camp.

Pop up tents generally don't fold up quite as compact as traditional dome tents, but they are still very easy to fit into the trunk of a car or other storage space. Instead of the traditional cylindrical shape, they look like a large, flat disc. They are lightweight and easy to carry when folded.

When you're done using them, most pop up tents are easier to take down than traditional tents, as well. Since there are no parts to disassemble or poles to keep track of and squish into a tiny carrying bag, taking down a pop up tent is a breeze. Most come equipped with a twist and fold system, where the flexible steel frame of the tent easily compresses to fit back in the carrying bag.
